In 2020, shortly prior to the first Covid-19 lockdown, David was contacted by a man interested in buying his first Care Home. As a result of the lockdown, the prospective buyer wasn’t able to progress the search for his first Home.

Slightly more than a year later, this man contacted David again. He’d found the Home he wanted to buy, located on the south coast. David discussed with the buyer the Care Ideals Complete Care Business Solution. The man’s response was:

This looks to me like exactly what we need. However, it seems to me that it might be helpful if you were to become involved during the purchase process, to help me identify any issues and so on”.

David completed the CQC registration application and provided all the relevant policies. He supported the buyer in all applicable areas so that he could transition to becoming an actual care provider.

This new care provider signed up to the Care Ideals Complete Solution. Since that point, we have been there to answer all his queries, advised on where to go for insurance, and provided all support needed to run his Care Home, including compliance, HR, operations, strategy and marketing.

One of the elements of the service that Care Ideals provides is completing Compliance Visits (mock inspections). Our first such visit to this Care Home took place in February 2022.

Following the visit, we sent our Compliance Report to the owner along with our assessment of what rating the Home might receive from CQC, given what we discovered during the visit. The owner responded as follows:

“This is quite possibly the best, most informative report I have ever received. I find it easy to understand, clear and concise. There are recommendations, as well as items that really must be done, and it is clear which is which. Thank you both very much, and I look forward to speaking with you next week.”
